IMPORTANT UPDATE: Our attendance at Monk's Cellar has been going over capacity more often than not. Last month, I'm told the by good owner, it was at a point where we could have been a problem on the occasion that a Fire Marshal walked in. Moreover, serving everybody well becomes an issue. We want to avoid turning people away at all costs. Knowing that His Excellency might draw an even larger crowd this month, a couple of important points:

1) Please RSVP to this talk on the Facebook invite. If you don't have Facebook, please send an email with your RSVP to me at [email protected]. In the event that we reach capacity "being on the list" will insure your seat. Arriving early is another good way to ensure your seat.

2) If you're a young-at-heart adult who would like to hear His Excellency speak, but don't quite fall into that 18-39 "young adult" category, please stay home. Email me, and I'll be happy to send you a recorded version of the talk.

3) Our friends at Monk's Cellar have gone above and beyond in hospitality. They do not charge us to congregate in their amazing pub. As an act of Catholic solidarity, please buy stuff from them if you can. Especially if you're sitting at a table - order dinner, drinks, appetizers, whatever you can. The food is great and well-priced. Your patronage goes a long way toward making this event a win-win for everybody. How about a Veritas dinner date? Got to eat, right? Let's show the world that Catholics aren't cheap.

Again, we don't want to turn anybody away - but last month, we were almost there, and we want to avoid turning people away from future events at all costs. Your massive turnout for these things is a great problem to have. Tom Rotelli and the staff at Monk's have been so welcoming to us. And we want to keep these events great and comfortable for everybody.

Thank you!
