Thursday @ KIlt Pub.

As we approach Holy Week, it would be good to remember just how our Lord's saving work was accomplished. Judas, a prince of the Church, exchanged Jesus for 30 pieces of silver. How did this happen? A better question: how could it still happen? Judas was the first, and their have been others. What should our response be, as Catholics, in the face of apostolic betrayal? Without understanding how to react to scandal rightly, we are in danger of losing faith and fleeing from the Cross like St. Peter who abandoned our Lord in His darkest hour.

In these days, Jesus thirsts for company at the Cross; and we can only find the strenghth to follow Him there if we learn to accept the charism of Saints John and Mary. So how do we do it? How can we fall so deeply in love with Jesus that we won't abandon Him when it counts? How can our love of God be deepened by suffering? St. John knows the secret.

Join us Thursday for a great conversation, led by John Johnson, that will give us a new understanding of Holy Week and the Paschal Mystery.

As always, free drinks. Thanks to Kilt Pub for hosting us and giving us great deals on food.
